Trihalomethane present in Soda (Portuguese ONLY)

Recent epidemiological study demonstrated the existing relation between the rising death tolls cause by cancer and the high concentration of trihalomethane. The soda industry have used active granulated carbon to eliminate the chlorine and and trihalomethanes from the processing waters for many years. Recent study were undertaken to determine the quantity and quality of the trihalomethane present in Sodas. The concentration of trihalomethane were higher in the Colas and lower in Sprite and 7 Up. A suggested theory for this variation is the method of extraction of Coca and the presence of caramel.

Use of organic chlorine in the purification of water for the creation of wild turtles - PROJECT TAMAR. (Portuguese ONLY)
